I'm always happy to receive art treats, even if I don't request it specifically. I make it a personal rule to write art-specific prompts if I request art, and sometimes I don't have time to do two sets of prompts for the same requests. But if you're inspired by my non-tailored prompts, I'd love to see your work!

In general, you should take all these prompts as suggestions! I'm really eager to see what you come up with. Don't feel like you have to hew precisely to what I've outlined in the prompts, I'm just brainstorming for people who want some ideas.

General Likes

  • Dramatic, action-heavy plots full of badasses
  • Angst and heightened drama
  • H/C and whump
  • Emotional growth and self-actualization
  • Recovery from trauma
  • Revealing dark secrets
  • Struggling with duty and Terrible Purpose
  • Philosophical complexity and big ideas; fic with a strong conceptual theme
  • A deep sense of place, whether that be from world-building or historical research
  • Grappling with political quandaries without a conclusion and full of complexity; coming away from a fic with the sense there are no perfect answers.
  • Formal experiments: different tenses, documentation styles, nonlinear storytelling, drabble series.
  • Fannish "magical realism" tropes/universes, especially when played straight, with world building: A/B/O, D/s verses, soul bonds, soul-marks, body swap, time loops, etc

Shippy Likes

  • Us-against-the-world dynamics and co-dependency; Characters being the most important people in each other’s emotional life, whether from love or hate; Characters tearing the world apart for the sake of their lover; unhealthy levels of possessiveness
  • Mpreg and pregnancy, done either for angst or fluff; mpreg in a universe without normal mpreg; mpreg played as body horror; surprise pregnancies greeted with joy; awe at pregnant partner; Male omega parents being referred to as mothers and female alpha parents being referred to as fathers.
  • Coming out with a socially unacceptable relationship, facing social consequences and stigma; the ostracization is worth it because of love
  • Outsider POV; the slow realization that couple is a couple and what that changes about the perceived dynamic.
  • Rescuing one’s lover from danger.
  • Quiet intimacy—knowing one’s lover better than anyone else in the world does; domestic comfort and creating a life for each other; close-contact revealing conflicts that previously hadn’t come up; discovering new things about the person you know best
  • lovers solving problems together; badasses doing badass things together; comrades in arms and comrades in bed
  • hate-ships and enemy-mine; Sex not solving problems; sex creating problems; unsolvable personality and politics conflicts; bad behavior as a form of flirting

Smut Likes

  • porn with feelings; praise kink; kink discovery
  • rough sex; hair pulling; insufficient lube/prep; quickies; marathon sex until it hurts
  • dirty talk, especially demeaning or condescending (even if it is done with affection). "fuck hole" (and any variant of hole). Vaguely feminizing dirty talk, even if that's the only feminization involved. "Cunt." Accusations of sluttiness, laughter about how easily they're giving it up.
  • D/s; restraints; characters getting off on their own submission; humiliation, loving or otherwise; objectification; feminization
  • breeding and impregnation kink (with or without possible actual pregnancy
  • comeplay; felching and playing with a comed-in hole; letting come dry on the body; rubbing it in; animalistic scent marking
  • penetration; being so full it hurts but loving it; DP; object insertion; gaping
  • knotting, heat sex, overwhelming desperation
  • xeno/non-human sex; tentacles; being chemically aroused by an alien. Full-shift werewolf sex.
  • bestiality, consensual or non. Especially with canids. (Mammals generally are good, non-mammals are less my thing.)
  • mental manipulation; arousal that cannot be controlled or contained; sex-addiction
  • 24/7 D/s, TPE, free use. Especially when enthusiastically wanted by the sub.
  • ritualistic sex; religious ritual sex; sex-magic
  • public sex; semi-public sex; unremarked upon public sex; secret public sex.

Pregnancy Likes

  • Male characters being secure in their gender identity but finding joy and comfort in specifically being “mom”/being in the “feminine” role.
  • Complicated feelings about unplanned pregnancy, including discussion of abortion. Self-destructive behavior specifically because of the pregnancy. Punishing self/fetus for whatever fucked-up internal reasons apply
  • Fertility issues, miscarriages, angst about wanting to be pregnant. This is particularly good when the character is in some sense ambivalent about their ability to get pregnant (e.g, if they got the requisite parts through noncon medical experimentation.)
  • Mpreg as abnormal, only possible because of non-con medical experimentation, magic, etc. In an A/B/O universe, I especially like when there has been some sort of forced designation change in for the purposes of pregnancy.
  • Being “bred” for one’s genes/superpowers. Coopting that ability for self-determination, even if the bad guys were the reason.
  • Bodies changing, softening, spreading, getting sensitive, tingling, hurting—basically any specific body changes. I love unpleasant pregnancy symptoms, too.
  • Over-investing in pregnancy/baby as the hope for the future...and that going badly, because even if you’re pregnant, you’re still you.
  • Body worship by partner that is framed in terms of seeing what is happening to the partner because of the baby, regardless of whether or not the baby was their’s. Fetishizing the ability to get pregnant and impregnating them. Getting off on fertility/virility.
  • This is a weird one to phrase, but bodily fluids as Powerful—this applies to both lactation and come, both of them are liquids that Do Things (feed baby and make baby respectively) and leaning into that is hot.
  • Painful or drawn out births. Medical emergencies. Really, really badly timed births. Getting hurt while pregnant. Anal births.

Darkfic/Horror-y Likes

  • kidnapping, torture, one’s fate being outside of your control
  • unspeakable power, eldritch or godly or similar
  • self-sacrifice for partner; watching your partner sacrificing themselves for you.
  • existential horror; mindbreak; being totally broken down and accepting one’s status as an object; grooming, manipulation, gaslighting
  • sinister authority figures taking advantage of power
  • bad ends, bittersweet ends, hopeful ends, as long as there is some sort of arc to the fic.
  • horror that occurs after some sort of reveal--someone wasn't who they seemed or something was radically distorted.
  • ghost stories and urban legends; spooky forests and abandoned ruins; murderous creatures and haunted houses. Creepy rural locations and places a little "outside" the normal sphere. Smelling something wrong in the psychosphere.
  • the dangers of ambition, finding out that there are things more important than knowledge and power
  • madness, self-mutiliation, orgiastic rituals, canibalism.

Art Likes

General Art Likes

  • In traditional media (and digital media that's reflecting it): brushstrokes, the uneven edges of watercolor, smudging out of graphite--the things that show hands have touched this art. Watercolor and the things it is good at--which can be in other media! Specifically: translucent colors, granulating pigments, and dreamy washes.
  • Stark, super clean digital media, too, really clean linework. Inking that uses a variety of weights and widths. Really dark & stark inking that draws a harsh contrast with color or white.
  • Completely uninked drawings, where color blocks out the figure by itself. Inking with colors instead of black.
  • Limited color palettes, strange color palettes. Using unusual hues for shadows and highlights. Colors picked for mood more than realism.
  • Monochromatic pieces, monochrome except for one accent color.
  • Odd and cartooney proportions. Characters with faces that are much more about conveying their emotion than any actual human anatomy.
  • For more realistic styles: eyes and faces and all the emotion they can convey--give me big, beseeching eyes and I'll always be happy.
  • Poses with a lot of movement, bodies intertwined with one another, things ripping or moving.
  • an edge of humor, incongruous details, little things that you only notice on a second glance.

Porny Art Likes

  • Any level of obscenity--throbbing cocks to suggestive poses.
  • fluids--sweat, come, glistening pussys
  • Desperation in expressions. Super flushed faces.
  • Body hair and physical imperfections.
  • poses that bring home power disparities and vulnerability. Holding the throat, kneeling, pain.

DNWs

DNW

  • scat
  • formalized ageplay, especially non-sexual—"littles."
  • all the way through
  • children being called "pups"
  • the phrase "big black cock" and pornified race-play
  • first-person POV, unless in epistolary, journals, or other written document.
  • asexual characters in relationships with sexual characters, past or present or even mentioned.
  • things going into urethras
  • setting-change AUs, unless otherwise specified.

Opt-Ins

Basically anything that is not a DNW I am willing and happy to receive, but I wanted to make a specific point to opt-in to the following things. This list should not, in any way, be taken as a "please write me this" list, but if you find yourself writing a fic that includes elements of any of the following, you can soothe your mind with this. The only thing I ask is that you warn/tag liberally.

  • In-narrative racism/homophobia/sexism/biphobia/classism/ableism etc. You shouldn't feel the need to go out of your way to put it in, but if it makes sense for the story or the character, feel free to include it. That includes slurs, upsetting imagery, and anything of that nature.
  • Any lyrics in vids are fine (including no vocals, explicit language, and slurs). Any music genre is fine.
  • Gore, non-con, generally upsetting things about consent and agency, and torture.
  • Incest and underage, as appropriate for the request
  • Cannibalism, necrophilia, bestiality as appropriate for the fic, character, and request
  • Character death, physical and mental illnesses, and permanent disability.
  • Body image issues, eating disorders, self-harm, suicide and suicide attempts.
  • Any and all "magical realism" tropes, whether or not they fit the canon: time travel, soul bonds, soul mates.
  • Past relationships and unrequested canon and non-canon ships.
  • Infidelity, breakup fic, poly among requested characters (unless otherwise specified.

Watchmen

These prompts will be very spoilery for late in the show, so avoid if you want to watch and you haven't yet

I am completely obsessed with the backstory reveal and what it means about Calvin, and what their relationship was like, and what it means to fall in love and raise children with someone who experiences the world in the way that Calvin does/did. It was such an amazing choice to have Dr Manhattan take his shape, and I loved how it interacted with all the themes of the show about how history exists in the present and that we carry our pasts around with us. Angela carries her past in her body, but Jon as Calvin experiences it as a single moment, undifferentiated.

You can go any number of directions with this and I'll be all in. I'd love some metaphysical weirdness that really digs into the temporal/metaphysical reality of Calvin. I'd also love a romance that takes seriously what it means to fall in love with someone you know you're going to love, that you are destined to love. One of the most romantic concepts for me is choosing to love someone before you actually do, or out of something more considered than a fleeting passion, and it's so weird to imagine choosing to love someone because you know that you will love them -- or, in a different way, digging into what it means to know someone as a stranger and as the person you'll love.

I'm also obsessed with Calvin and Angela as parents. I loved the way that Calvin calmly explains death and how that moment reveals that even though he's lost his memories, he's the same person. I adore Angela's camaraderie with Topher and how she raises him, and how much Topher respects her even when he lashes out.

I'm also fascinated by what happens after Calvin's death. Did the egg work? How does she adjust to having powers? Is Calvin truly gone, or does he persist in the universe in some way that can affect his family. What becomes of Angela in his absence? I bet you could do all sorts of cool things here -- maybe his consciousness continues on in her. Maybe they essentially merge, and it is as horror or as sweet as you want.

For these request, I am happy with any point in the canon timeline (tag dependent). Pre-canon, during canon, or after canon. Cal can come back to life or stay dead at the end. Strict compliance to canon or AU. Anything, anything, anything.

Requested Tags:

  • Godlike Character Interacts with Lover Intangibly After "Death":A lot of these requests are really playing with the idea that death is the "end" for Cal--which interacts oddly with the conversation he has with his kids about death being the end. I'd love any take on this -- Cal can perhaps be a manifestation of Angela's new powers, like she's created life out of the intensity of her memories. Or maybe Cal's consciousness, such as it is, has become material and part of the matter around her--maybe he "haunts" his old family, in subtle breaths of wind and the implacable feeling of being watched. Maybe it is sinister, maybe it is sweet. I'd really love any take on this.
  • Sex As a Thinly Veiled Metaphor for the Metaphysics of the Universe: "Metaphysics" is coming up a couple times in these tags because I am just genuinely interested by Cal, what it would mean to be in love with and fuck someone who exists in the way that he does. I'd also love to know more about the early days of Angela/Cal--what did that dinner that Angela agreed to in canon look like? When did she really start to believe him? Was there one moment where everything came into focus?
  • Utterly Mundane Domesticity Paired with Grandiose Metaphysics: I would ore unexpected life lessons from Dad!Cal that reveal his background as Dr Manhattan, a la the "nothing exists after you die" conversation. I love what that means for him as a parent. I think there could be really cool things about what he thinks life lessons are. In general, I'm very pro extended philosophical mediation on the nature of time and mortality thinly disguised as a fic. It could happen at any time in their relationship or life together.
  • Conversations in Liminal Spaces on the Border of One World And Another: I would love the idea of Cal coming back to Angela in weird dreams, where it is unclear if Cal is actually in "another world" or not.
  • A thinks B is a hallucination but B is actually stuck on another plane and needs saving: I'd love to see Angela coming into her own with her new powers --trying to hide it from her kids, from the world--until she realizes that Cal isn't actually dead and she has to rescue him.

Black Panther

Erik Killmonger/T'Challa

I love, love, love this ship, but I want it done in a kind of twisted way. I want them to have an unhealthy relationship where they at least start out not very good for each other. I am totally fine with a happy ending, where they end up having grown into a functional couple, but I’m fine with it not ending that way, too. I would like both of them to remain reasonably authentic to their canon selves. This means I do not want T’Challa to be a pure villain — I want him to have good intentions and to be trying hard, but unable to deal with the way Erik refuses his worldview and makes him feel. I want Erik to be bitter and angry and prone to lashing out. I want you to take his politics seriously. They can grow to have affection for each other, but it should be hard-won.

I love the two of them because their structural positions put them at odds and they have all these intersections of sympathy and anger. I see them as a complicated, somewhat angry ship, where they’re pushing on each other and challenging each other to be better people and sometimes accidentally making each other worse. They’re both drawn to each other and fascinated by each other and yet, I think Erik genuinely kinda hates T’Challa. I love Erik’s rage, it’s my favorite part about him. I'd love to see how it becomes love or attachment.

A commonality of a lot of my tags is T’Challa saving Erik against his will and the outcomes of that. He could save him in a bunch of different ways — ignoring his wishes and rushing him to medical help, time travel, wish on the Tesseract, whatever. Erik could come back normal or Come Back Wrong. There could be time loops where T’Challa tries a million different ways to avert Erik’s death and none of them work.

And, then when Erik survives, they could end up fucking from some sort of magical realism device like sex pollen or just as an unhealthy, angry coping mechanism. I just want to explore the fucked-up dynamic here.

Specific DNWs: Please keep the fic roughly canon compliant with the basic arc of Erik backstory. Specific DNW of Erik being raised in Wakanda. It can go AU in the specifics of timeline and when he and T’Challa first interact, but I’d like for him to keep his general plan to conquer Wakanda.

Requested Tags:

  • Alternate Universe - Eldritch Cyberpunk: This is sort of the odd man out of my tags, but I love the idea of it so much that I couldn't resist. I've recently gotten very into Cyberpunk 2077, so feel free to draw on that canon, but you can also just go for a more generic cyberpunk world. I love screens and body mods and the nihilist dystopian miasma of canons like blade runner. I think this could go a bunch of different directions, especially if the eldritch thing is leaned on. Maybe Wakanda is a shining city on a hill, separate from the squalor of the rest of the cyberpunk world ruled by Cthulhu. Maybe it's not obvious there are Eldritch creatures at all, but it slowly becomes clear that the Black Panther powers are do to an unfathomably terrifying creature.
  • Character Cursed By The Gods Not Even A Little Bit Sorry: I love the idea of Bast punishing Erik in some way and him being utterly defiant. Maybe she punishes him by bringing him back to life? Maybe she makes him obedient to T'Challa, which T'Challa is horrified by and Erik can barely acknowledge because of his fury. That would be a huge sticking point in their relationship. Maybe she turns him into a literal panther. Maybe she gives them a soul bond! Maybe she makes him pregnant! There's all sorts of fun things she could curse him with (takes away his voice? Prevents him from being able to enter Wakanda?) that Erik could be utterly defiant about and T'Challa could be conflicted about. I love the idea of Erik pacing the borders of his ancestral homeland, prevented from returning by divine command but all the more eager to get in because of it.
  • Enemies to Lovers - Accidental soulbond between enemies: One of my favorite tropes are unplanned soul bonds. I love the idea of Erik waking up and being connected to T'Challa mentally. I'm fine with any world building about soul bonds -- are they fairly known or utterly unknown? I like both. Is it because of how T'Challa brought Erik back to life? Is it because of Bast? Is it because they both took the heart shaped herb? Something else? I think the forced intimacy of that would lead to amazing friction.
  • Government Employers Resurrect Agent as a Magical Being After Death: What if Erik is a vampire/werewolf/magic-cyborg/genie/whatever created by the CIA after he was killed in Afghanistan or something? That would be horrifying and I think Erik would fight against that with everything he had. I love the idea. It could also happen post-canon. Maybe T'Challa does bury Erik at sea like he asks for, and the fucking CIA dredges him back up and tries to make him into their monster. I bet that goes badly wrong for them, but not before causing Erik a great deal of anguish. How does T'Challa found out? Can he help him? I am completely fine with "helping him" in this case being "killing him again," but it doesn't have to go that way.
  • Injured bad guy showing up on good guy's doorstep saying "I didn't know where else to go": This could mesh well with either the one where Erik is resurrected into a vampire or any other plot! I love the idea of Erik being driven genuinely to the end of his rope and coming to T'Challa for help, but hating him a little for his own powerlessness. How do they get past that and into a genuine relationship?
  • Petending to be Unwillingly Arranged Married But Secretly This Was Their Plan All Along:
  • A/B/O - Omega Assassin:
  • Time Loop - trying and failing to fix it until you realize there is no way to "fix" it:
  • Volunteering for Arranged Marriage to Prevent New Spouse from Criminal Consequences:
  • Pregnancy - Impregnated to Avoid Having to Execute Villain:This one is really intriguing to me. One thing about Erik’s ending is that I got the definite sense that it was possible that T’Challa wants to save Erik and he could very easily end up deciding that he doesn’t actually care that Erik wants to be saved. Maybe he saves him and then marries him and then gets himself pregnant so that he’s protected by T’Challa’s status. This can be more on the noncon end—though I really would like T’Challa to be painted sympathetically—but it could also be artificial insemination (though still a horrible violation, not sexually assaulting Erik.) Maybe T’Challa even talks him into the plan! I'm not really sure how the grammar of this tag works, but I'm also into the idea of T'Challa getting Erik pregnant to avoid having to execute him--but for that I would prefer some amount of consent, even if it is deeply begrudging.
  • :

Additional tags I like: A can never forgive B but tries to have a relationship with them anyway - it fails, all te diaspora feelings, Alternate Universe - Different First Meeting, Deep- delving into all the politics and court dynamics canon barely touched on, Enemies to Lovers - A flirts by killing B's enemies, Enemies With Benefits Slowly Falling in Love, If I Must Solve A Dozen Geopolitical Problems Just To Have Sex With You Then I Will, Intricate Courting Rituals Across Cultural Differences, two people who should hate each other but don't having a sexual relationship on the downlow.

Solo Erik Killmonger Art Request

Look: I just want my fave in these awesome environments. I'd love to see anything that you come up with. Costumes! Character design! Erik's amazing face on a dragon, or with goggles hanging around his neck, or as a herald! I'd love whatever worldbuilding you build into the visuals and it would be so cool if you played on the context of the AU in the style you use. Religious art for monk!Erik? Art Nouveau for 1920s Erik? Erik who looks like he's on a pulp fiction science fiction novel? Erik lounging in a garden like he's walked out of a Edmund Blair Leighton painting? Ink drawn Erik in a fairy tale? There's so many options and I'm in love with all of them.

In case you want to know, I'm in love with all varieties of Erik, but the museum scene is probably my gold standard look. (visual aid) But whatever fits your worldbuilding is best!!

Captain America

Steve/Bucky

I generally prefer Bucky to be the omega/pregnant one/sub!

I love Steve for his stubbornness, his commitment to what's right, and his devotion -- even though Bucky is everywhere in this signup, you shouldn't take it as a sign I wouldn't like a fic emotionally centered around Steve, because I absolutely would. I love Bucky paired with Steve because I think the way Bucky has had to reinvent himself -- in response to pressures external and internal-- is an interesting contrast with Steve's intense focus on remaining himself. Sometimes in canon it feels like Bucky uses Steve as a lodestar to set his path. Most obviously in TWS, but I think that happens during WW2 -- and it makes Bucky running away in CW all the more interesting.

This is very revealing mix of tags for an old favorite ship - a mix of horny and angsty, which is my favorite combination. The thing I love about Steve/Bucky is how many different contexts canon gives us for them. There's pre-war, with Steve having a chip on his shoulder the size of a block and Bucky flirting his way around Brooklyn. During the war, with so many secrets and changes to both of them -- Steve's changes so big and public, and Bucky's hidden and from pain. Winter Soldier tortures, everything in the drama of TWS, Civil War, Wakanda, Endgame era... god, I really do love it all. I prefer things to hew fairly close to the canon events, because I would love divergence at any point based on my tags. Maybe the serum makes Steve a werewolf and he gets Bucky pregnant when he fucks him in World War 2, or maybe he gets bitten after the war. For all the pregancy related prompts -- I love A/B/O, but I also love the idea of Bucky getting pregnant from hydra nonsense. Or any magic, non-standard reason. One of my favorite things is when the pregnancy is completely unexpected.

I generally love when characters are in extremis, either from their social environment or trauma or torture or being literally stranded on a hostile planet. One of my favorite relationship dynamics is the codependent commitment to one another and making things work even if everything is stacked against them.

Tag specific discussion, additional prompts, and general preferences in the letter!

Specific DNWs: significant canon divergence about Bucky's backstory up to the beginning of The Winter Soldier. That is, I'd like his backstory to be the same as it is in his canon. (Things that could exist along his backstory and just have been off screen--like past Steve/Bucky, details of his time with HYDRA etc, all that's fine. Basically, I want to make sure there is torture, amnesia, brainwashing, and cryo chambers.)

Requested Tags:

  • A/B/O - Omega Builds Nest to Support Them While Heavily Pregnant So They Can Still Be Fucked Hard:
  • A/B/O - Omega's Have Pregnancy Heats As A Way To Bond With Their Alpha When Already Pregnant:
  • Breeding Kink - while trying to conceive:
  • Fetishizing Pregnancy Because it Demonstrates Character is Good For Something Other than Killing:I love the idea of Bucky reclaiming his body as something that creates life instead of takes it, does good in the world instead of bad. I like the idea of building something for himself, creating a new life, and figuring out how Steve is part of it.
  • MCU: Bucky and/or his Partner Get Off Sexually on the Winter Soldier:I love the idea of Steve and/or Bucky kinking hard on the idea of Bucky as the Winter Soldier, post-recovery. This could go a number of different directions. Maybe Steve kinks on Bucky’s obedience or maybe he kinks on his aggressiveness and knives. Maybe Bucky kinks on the freedom there was in only following orders or maybe following his darkest impulses. In general, I like the idea that there’s a sort of residue in Bucky’s psyche of all those years of violence and I’d love to see the way it plays out sexually.
  • Obedience Kink - turned on by partner's ability to hold still and endure what's given:
  • Werewolf AU - Sex With Werewolf in Wolf Form Unexpectedly Impregnates Human Man: I am into several aspects of this. I love werewolf pseudo-bestiality and knotting, so that's hot right there, but my brain also spirals out of control on a bunch of the implications of Bucky completely unexpectedly getting pregnant. Not only could that be loaded in a plot sense (imagine it happening during World War II! Just before Bucky falls, so the baby is born in HYDRA custody!), I bet there's also a lot of emotional baggage to the idea of starting a family. If Steve is self-hating because of the werewolf thing and Bucky is self-hating because of all the brainwashed murder, the idea of being parents is probably A Lot.
  • Elaborate Courting Rituals: I'd really love an A/B/O-esque situation here -- all sorts of weird, animalistic courting rituals. But it doesn't actually have to be the bad-science-wolves of A/B/O! You could go with a Bowerbird AU, where Steve makes his house REALLY NICE to get Bucky to hook up with him. Or one where there's dances and dress up and gifts. I don't know, I just want super elaborate and ideally vaguely animalistic courting.
  • MCU: Bucky Struggles with Residual Violent Impulses from Winter Soldier:This could either be a very AU Bucky that acts significantly more like the Winter Soldier than we see in canon, or it could be the calm Bucky that we see grappling very hard with the desires he has. He finds himself wanting to respond to small slights with immense violence, or has intrusive thoughts and other problematic things. Maybe he sometimes lashes out. Maybe he has Steve prove that he can take Bucky out if necessary, because Bucky's so worried about his own intrusive thoughts. Maybe Steve talks Bucky into using Steve as his punching bag, work out the urges.
  • Bad Guys Capture Ship to Breed Them Because of Super Genes:They are the products of the finest wartime engenieering, now they should make babies for HYDRA. This could happen late in canon, when they're together and trying to rebuild a life post-EG. Or it could happen between CW and IW. Or even, something that would be cool, is if Steve was captured pre TWS because they wanted to breed Bucky and all non-super sperm wasn't working/the babies were miscarrying because of the incompatibility.
  • Stranded on a Hostile Planet Together:
  • Famous character is revealed to be queer and everyone has a lot of reactions:
  • Hurt/Comfort - Character is Feral/Animalistic After Long Dehumanizing Imprisonment:Maybe Bucky is totally feral from his trauma during his time as the Winter Soldier and Steve has to help. This works particularly well with A/B/O! In this case, maybe Bucky didn't find his cute little apartment in Bucharest, but found himself a cave in the woods. Maybe Bucky as an omega needs Steve to dominate him to bring him into line and help him back to himself, or maybe Steve smothers him with blankets and purrs at him and tries to sooth him in the same animalistic way.
  • Human-Animal Shifter Loses Control During Sex And Partially Shifts: This is straightforward. I think knotting and pseudo-bestiality are really hot, and it would be really hot for werewolf Steve to be so into fucking Bucky that he sprouts fur and fang. I'd love for you to dig in on possessive behavior, marking -- feel free to meld it with some of the breeding kink above.
  • Brainwashing - Character Recovered from Brainwashing Gets Captured and Brainwashed Again:

Steve/Bucky/Sam

Requested Pairings: James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers & James "Bucky" Barnes/Sam Wilson, James "Bucky" Barnes/Sam Wilson & Steve Rogers, James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers/Sam Wilson

These are some juicy, angsty tags right here! I'm most interested in the soapy/angsty potential of this threesome, but I love happy threesome endings and wistful unresolved endings alike. I would love any combination of this, especially in the context of Endgame.

I also love Sam & Bucky in their shared position as being left behind by Steve. I have... a lot of feelings about Steve's choice to go back in time in Endgame and I imagine Bucky and Sam both do too. Maybe they both were in love with him, maybe only one of them, maybe neither--either way, they were his friends, and now he's gone. Maybe they were in a loose poly arrangement before he left, but then he abandoned them both.

There are so many layers of soapiness--maybe Sam/Steve were together when Bucky came back, and then there's angst about Steve's murder ex-boyfriend and what that means for Sam/Steve, eventually culminating in Sam/Bucky coming out of the Soul Stone with a Soulbond and throwing gasoline around. Maybe Bucky and Sam fall in bickering love, despite both of them hesitating to act on their feelings for Steve because he feels untouchable. Maybe Bucky and Sam were both pining for Steve, and then he leaves after Endgame and they have to deal with that. Maybe Sam isn't interested in either of them, but then the Soulbond compels him and Bucky (who was previously with Steve) together, leaving Steve out in the lurch.

Feel free to make this as painful in any direction. I'm fine with basically any endgame pairing. I'm fine with the in fic endgame pairing not being all that happy! I'm also fine with it all working out and them realizing how to make it work.

(One note about these prompts and Steve is that if there's a bunch of angsting about Steve leaving Sam/Bucky, there's a risk it turns into incredibly anti-Steve/cartoonishly asshole Steve. And whilke it would be perfectly emotionally realistic and healthy for the two of them to end up resenting him quite a bit. I just want to say that I'd prefer for the narrative to make Steve reasonably sympathetic and to put a little thought into why he'd make the choice to leave. I'm fine with the reason being something like homophobia, internalized or otherwise, though, as long as he isn't treated like a horrible villain.)

Basically, I want to make sure there is torture, amnesia, brainwashing, and cryo chambers.

  • MCU - Nobody knows Bucky is pregnant with Steve's baby before he goes away at the end of Endgame: I love everything about this premise. My basic thought is that nobody really knows Bucky can get pregnant/or Steve can impregnate people, and maybe Steve and Bucky have an angsty one time hook up just before Steve fucks off to the past for reasons of trauma, and it leaves Bucky pregnant, and then Sam & Bucky have to deal with that. I love the idea of Bucky and Sam slowly figuring out Bucky is pregnant, and who the dad must be, and then building a life for each other anyway, making this baby THEIR baby, even if he's a little bit of Steve they carry with them. Sam and Bucky could already be together or they could get together while Bucky's pregnant. If they're already together, maybe the issue is that Steve's super sperm can get dudes pregnant. Maybe they were in a threesome and Steve left them both! If only Sam/Bucky were together, maybe Sam gave Bucky a pass or maybe Bucky cheated on Sam and realized that he did love Sam, and that's why Steve left. I'm not kidding when I say you can go hard on the soap here.

James "Bucky" Barnes/Sam Wilson

I love Sam Wilson. I love the contradictions in his character. He very much presents himself as on top of his shit. He's a caretaker, he supports people, he tells it like it is. He has been through the mud and now he's well-adjusted... or so he claims. At the same time, we have flashes of both his past trauma with Riley (feel free to make him a romantic ex or not, up to you) and the general lunacy that has him running off with Steve at the literal drop of a hat. He's also a guy who signed up to fly experimental gear, and test pilots are adrenaline junkies. But he was the medic who did it! I just find all of this so fascinating and I love the way he's clearly building the person he wants to be.

My love of Sam/Bucky is rooted in them supporting each other past the events of Endgame, so I really would like this fic to be Endgame compliant. Shit went down, the world is radically different, Steve abandoned them both, and they slowly grow to love and support each other. I ship it because I feel like Bucky brings out the immaturity and playfulness in Sam in a way few other people in canon do--and same with with Bucky, Bucky cracks wise with Sam. They bicker, but in a way that (imo) can be read to show a comfort with each other, or at least, in Civil War, a compatibility. I like that Sam has experience dealing with people with trauma, but I would love especially that Bucky brings out the less professional side of him, the side with feelings, who is over-committed, who can't keep his clinical cool. Or Sam tries to keep his clinical distance, to the detriment of their relationship, and Bucky refuses to have it and forces him to admit that he has feelings too.

I would love for these prompts to be taken in either direction -- either Sam or Bucky getting whumped. I prefer the surprise body modification to have happened to Bucky from HYDRA, but feel free to whump Sam extensively. I also particularly like the idea of Sam being non-human in some way. I think it's really interesting when characters who think of themselves as caretakers find themselves having to grapple with their own vulnerability.

  • surprise pregnancy reveals true extent of past noncon body modification:What if Bucky had no idea he could get pregnant! And then, surprise: Sam knocked him up. I love this in part because it is slowly horrifying. Like, omg I'm pregnant? I can get pregnant?.... have I already been pregnant? And then maybe he has and he has to deal with that! Maybe they go try to figure out what happened to Bucky and they have to do a bunch of action-y things while he's heavily pregnant, ignoring Sam thinking he should sit out. Maybe they find traces of a past kid or past sexual assault that Bucky doesn't remember. Maybe he starts to remember or maybe it is like a black hole. I love all of it. For Sam, I'd love if this was complicated by maybe he never wanted kids or in some way is also ambivalent about kids, and he has to figure it out very suddenly with Bucky. He could also be happy with it, but that's a journey that appeals to me!

Time Travel/Multiverse Shenanigans

Requested Pairings: James "Bucky" Barnes/2012!Steve Rogers, Post-CW James "Bucky" Barnes/Pre- TFA James "Bucky" Barnes, James "Bucky" Barnes/The Winter Soldier

If canon is going to give us multiverse nonsense, let's roll with it!

These pairing tags are somewhat confusing, but let me be clear: I'm fine with the "Bucky's" in question to be from any timeline and any point in time unless otherwise specified. I particularly love the idea of drawing out the ramifications of this timeline fuckery and maybe making things not go so well. Maybe Bucky goes to find 2012!Steve after things go terrible and Endgame Steve leaves, but then the Winter Soldier becomes a complication. Or maybe he visits Steve to tell him about the Winter Soldier and things go badly wrong. With the Bucky self-cest, I'd love any spectrum of plotty to horny.

There's so many moments in this story where things change radically--or, importantly, where things have already unbeknownst to the characters, already radically changed. Those are my favorite types of stories to play with time travel in. I love revelations, or aching nostalgia about what was and what never could be. I love the idea of past selves being baffled by the future.

I just also love the Winter Soldier, in his icy innocence, and the mixed tenderness/disgust/fear that Bucky must feel about him.

Basically, I want to make sure there is torture, amnesia, brainwashing, and cryo chambers.) This is sort of an odd one in the context of all the time travel -- basically I want at least one Bucky involved to have canon backstory.

These tags are a couple variations of the same theme--I love Bucky grappling with the person he was and will be. I would read every variety of Bucky/Bucky. Winter Soldier/Twink! Pre-War Bucky, with TWS domming the shit out of the cute little bastard. Post-Civil War Sad-Eyed Bucky fucking his Pre-War self while feeling sad about the future that's about to steamroll the guy. The younger Bucky is so cocky and full of himself in the way good looking able-bodied white dudes often are! He's got a sense of humor, and a good heart, but he's also entirely confident that he'll be able to face the world that's coming to him and he's so wrong and the older Bucky knows it. He knows he's going to break, and he can't decide if he hates his younger self or is just so fucking sad for him.

The ship that makes a lot of this different is 2012!Steve.

Hydra!Steve/Bucky

Here is the request where I want Dark Steve. I've read a lot of this run, but not all of it--I don't care about spoilers. One important note is that HYDRA!Steve from the universe I'm requesting didn't grow up with Bucky--so I'm not interested in a world where MCU Steve is actually in HYDRA, I want this comics Steve somehow connecting with our MCU Bucky, who has his own Steve that he remembers and loves. I'm fine with any plot reason for this, including stuff playing with Endgame. Maybe HYDRA!Steve shows up after Steve returns to the fifties in Endgame like, gee I think this universe needs a Captain America and ends up doing horrible things to Bucky before people notice that he's actually HYDRA.

Maybe there are some multiverse shenanigans and while Bucky is the Winter Soldier, he's transferred into the control of HYDRA!Steve, who has no idea who he is but learns quick to take advantage of Bucky's attachment. Maybe Bucky gets captured by HYDRA!Steve while he's recovered and in his full mind, but can't help but react to Steve like he's someone he knows and loves.

This can happen in the context of a romantic relationship between Bucky and MCU!Steve or not. Maybe Bucky always pined, but MCU!Steve was straight! Maybe the other way around--MCU!Steve had a crush and they both just didn't acknowledge it.

I'm a fan of a million different takes on the "hard-non-con" here, so to speak, with the twist of HYDRA!Steve having a beloved face. I'd be especially in to Bucky being chained up and raped in a dungeon. I love the idea of Bucky trying for defiance and nonchalance and not quite pulling it off. I love the idea of HYDRA!Steve using his cunning to try to figure out Bucky and MCU!Steve's backstory, which he didn't live and doesn't know.

Like I've said before, the moment of rescue or discovery is especially good for me--how does Steve feel when he finds out that his face and body has been raping Bucky for days? What is the aftermath like? Can Bucky recover his trust in Steve?

Tag specific discussion, additional prompts, and general preferences in the letter!

Specific DNWs: significant canon divergence about Bucky's backstory up to the beginning of The Winter Soldier. That is, I'd like his backstory to be the same as it is in his canon. (Things that could exist along his backstory and just have been off screen--like past Steve/Bucky, details of his time with HYDRA etc, all that's fine. Requested Tags:

  • Character A not from this place/time; B offers to help them acclimate (with ulterior motives): Maybe there are some multiverse shenanigans and while Bucky is the Winter Soldier, he's transferred into the control of HYDRA!Steve, who has no idea who he is but learns quick to take advantage of Bucky's attachment. Alternately, it could be Bucky in his right mind (at any point in the timeline) ending up in the Hydra!Steve universe and not realizing how sinister he is until Steve has already got him fully in his clutches.
  • Character A resents how much they love Character B: A could be either Bucky or Hydra!Steve! Maybe there's a soul bond that spans the multi-verse -- Normal!Steve/Bucky are soul bonded, and that leaks. So Bucky still reacts to Hydra!Steve like he's his soul bonded partner or suddenly Hydra!Steve loves Bucky and wants to punish him for it. The dynamic is also awesome without the soulbond--just the idea of Bucky helpless to not respond to the doppelgänger of someone he loves, but also horrified by his evil.
  • Doppelganger - Raped by Evil(er) Version of Crush/Lover: The basic premise! I would love however you do this. You can focus on the awful porn or the moment of rescue or discovery. How does Steve feel when he finds out that his face and body have been raping Bucky for days? What is the aftermath like? Can Bucky recover his trust in Steve? Also: what if alpha!HYDRA!Steve rapes Bucky until he is an omega and then gets him pregnant and then MCU!Steve helps Bucky deal with the aftermath? My tags don't say anything about this (I forgot), so it is the most optional of details, I'm just saying that I'd like it if you're feeling it.
  • Dubcon - Character Thought They Wanted This But Are In Over Their Head and Can't Get Out: This is a more slow burn type thing. Maybe Bucky finds himself in Hydra!Steve's universe and his Steve is straight/gone and the fact that this Steve is interested in him is hard to resist... but the gaslighting and horrible reality builds and builds, and before Bucky knows it, he's in way over his head.
  • Noncon - Rape Is Recorded and Sent to Character's Friends/Loved Ones: I would adore the outsider POV view of Bucky getting raped by Steve from people in the normal universe. This is deliciously horrible in both the case where Steve and Bucky are together and where they are not--man, either way, that seems like it would be brutal to watch. One specific idea is MCU!Steve has a crush and they both just didn't acknowledge it, because Bucky isn't into men/him sexually. Maybe Hydra!Steve is taunting MCU!Steve by raping Bucky and sending him recordings.

Additional tags I like: Dubcon/Noncon - treated like a fucktoy, Forced Deepthroat/Choking on a Dick, Forced Feminization; Character Doesn't Want to Admit it Turns Them On, Fucked with the hilt of a weapon, Non-con/dub-con: Victim used until limp and exhausted, Noncon - Conditioned to come only while anally, penetrated Noncon - Forced Bestiality, Noncon - Character is forced to fuck themselves on a huge dildo while being watched, Noncon - Victim is forced to enjoy it, Noncon - Victim is treated like a lover

MCU RPF Crossover

Requested Pairings: James "Bucky" Barnes (MCU)/Chris Evans (MCU)/Steve Rogers (MCU), James "Bucky" Barnes (MCU)/Chris Evans (MCU RPF)

The thing I love about this is a guy who has resources--a rich famous actor--but who is not in any way a superhero dealing with the mess of trauma and violence that is a mostly-unrecovered Winter Soldier. Bucky isn't in his right mind and this guy looks a lot like Steve, maybe he shows up hurting and confused and now Chris has to deal with it.

Or maybe a third party mistakes Chris for Steve and hurts him, and Bucky rescues him--this could be a Bucky from any era. Maybe Bucky is fully in his right head and confronted with this guy who is a smaller, more breakable version of his ex, who was hurt for no reason at all. Maybe they're captured together by some confused bad guys and Steve has to rescue them!

I have a mild preference for a Chris Evans that has always lived in the MCU--and is, therefore, familiar with the idea of superheroes/knows he looks rather like Captain America, but I'm fine if you want it to be normal world Chris Evans. A big part of this for me is Chris struggling to keep his head above water and do right by Bucky, even though Bucky/Steve and their world are baffling and often terrifying. Basically, I want to make sure there is torture, amnesia, brainwashing, and cryo chambers.) If you want, Chris Evans could end up with Bucky-as-the-Winter Soldier on his lap before the events of TWS movie or whenever makes sense. Just keep some amount of sad HYDRA backstory ;)

For this one I don't have a lot to say about the specific tags, since they're very similar and on a theme, so I'll talk about the two different ships separately.

Requested Tags:

  • Character is hurt because they are mistaken for their more powerful doppelganger
  • Lookalikes - Characters are intrigued/attracted by how similar they look
  • Hero's Canon-Typical Actions Are Terrifying To An Ordinary Person's Outsider POV
  • Outsider POV Finds Canon Protagonists' Typical Behavior To Be Terrifying

Prompts for Chris Evans/Bucky Barnes:

  • Chris Evans get captured by bad guys because they think he's Captain America, post Endgame, and Bucky has to rescue him. Lots of conflicted feelings about Steve (Bucky's ex?), the guy who left them all in the present, as Bucky rescues him.
  • Maybe Bucky and Steve never had a thing, and when Bucky meets Chris, he's shocked by actually wanting him and has to grapple with that.
  • The Winter Soldier shows up in Chris Evans's house, confused and looking for something that makes sense to him. Maybe he begs Chris not to tell anyone, somewhat confused about what's going on but completely urgent that he be kept off the radar.
  • Maybe Bucky essentially stalks Chris when he's mid-recovery, knowing full well it isn't Steve, but the similarity makes him safer and Bucky just can't stop looking at him.
  • In general, I bet Chris would find it terrifying to witness the Winter Soldier in action, especially if Bucky hasn't fully come back to himself yet. I love the idea of him trying to do right, but being really intimidated by this world totally outside his normal.

Prompts for Chris Evans/Bucky Barnes/Steve Rogers:

  • Chris and Bucky are together--perhaps due to the events described in the prompt above, and Steve finds himself furiously jealous. Maybe even Chris and Bucky were captured together for a significant quantity of time and bonded, and when Steve rescues them, he's horrified and hurt to find out that Bucky has started sleeping with someone who looks so much like him. But then there's a happy ending? Or not! Either way, I love it.
  • Steve is with Bucky, but when Chris Evans starts getting famous for his acting, he's incredibly fascinated by this person who looks like him. Because his body is relatively new to him, in terms of his lived years, he's attracted to it in a way that he knows is weird but he can't help. Bucky makes a threesome happen.
  • Chris has always been fascinated with his resemblance to Captain America. When Steve wakes up, he reaches out. They become friends and then end up sleeping together -- and then maybe when the events of TWS comes down, Chris is dragged along in the project of overthrowing shield/rescuing Bucky, even though he was just there to visit his pal

Folly of the World - Jesse Bullington

Requested Pairings: Sander Himbrecht & Jolanda, Sander Himbrecht/Jolanda/Jan Tieselen, Sander Himbrecht/Jan Tieselen

The thing I love about this fandom is how fucking weird and twisted it is. The setting is just phenomenal, with the most glorious creepy set-piece of the aftermath of a flood that is said to have killed 10,000 people. The characters are compelling, deeply fucked up, and in totally dysfunctional relationships. There are reasons to find each of them completely fascinating for me. Sander has a canonical breathplay kink and we meet him as he is about to be executed, but he’s getting off on the idea of being hanged from the neck. His canonical lover, Jan, always thinks he knows exactly what he’s doing and that he is in control of everything around him. Jolanda grows enormously over the course of the book and really ends up a super compelling character by the end of it.

I particularly love the relationship about Jolanda and Sander at the end of the novel, and how much it develops over the course of the novel. I love the idea of Jan taking advantage of that at some point while he was still alive, or coercing them both when he comes back at the end. I'd love a fic set at any time during the novel or after it -- or before!

For the modern AU -- I just am fascinated to see how you translate this particular brand of bizarre into a more contemporary context. Extreme bonus points for keeping them Dutch.

This is such a tiny fandom that I really am just looking forward to what you can come up with.

Tag specific discussion, additional prompts, and general preferences in the letter!

Feel free to keep the tone of the fic the nearly surrealistic weirdness of the book, or add more SF/F style worldbuilding where you do more explaining. I like both!

Requested Tags:

  • A forces B to fuck C who is a gender B is not attracted to:What if Jan makes Sander fuck Jolanda? Sander is portrayed in the novel as entirely gay, so this would be a really brutal way for Jan to demonstrate his power over Sander. This could happen before Jan’s death, when Sander and Jolanda don’t have a good a good relationship, but it would also be delicious if it happened post-canon. Maybe Jan ends up tracking Sander down and corrupting him more fully to the side of the Belgians/whatever metaphysical power that is rolling Dordrecht. Maybe part of the way he shows that is for Sander to betray Jo. I bet that is something that would hit Sander really hard, considering how close they are at the end of the novel.
  • Powerful Fetus Exerts Mind-Control on Pregnant Character from the Womb:One of my favorite things about the novel was the way that Sander's mental health was played with. Is he hallucinating or is he being gaslit by the people around him or is some seriously supernatural shit happening? I'd love the fetus to get on that game of fucking with Sander.
  • Pregnant with an Eldritch Being to Birth the New World Order: Pregnancy has so many meanings, culturally and personally, and I think it would be a great way to explore how Sander has changed, what the change has done to him, how Jan is both still the guy who was Sander's lover and the guy who is somehow an avatar of whatever dark power is lurking around. I love the idea that Sander gets pregnant with literally (?) the New World Order, with the beginnings of modern capitalism, with the growth of colonialism. It's weird, but feel free to pick some historically significant metaphor and have Sander pregnant with that. It doesn't in any way be a tidy allegory and some conceptual messiness is a plus, actually. Alternately: it could be a more horror style Eldritch God new world order. That would be awesome--he'd be giving birth to a literal monster. Does he have tender feelings for it? Does he know he's giving birth to a monster?
  • Deals with the devil; devil comes to collect: You could interpret the tag a number of ways. Maybe Jan is the Devil and he comes to collect. Or maybe Jan has a deal with the Devil -- in the form of an Eldritch Eel Monster, perhaps? And the eels come to take him home. Or Jolanda makes a deal with the devil to get out of that endless boat ride in the ending and save Sander's life, but then later Jan comes back to collect. Any number of Moments of Reckoning are possible with the fucked up context of that book.
  • Alternate Universe - Modern with Magic:I said this in the optional details, but I'll say it again here: I just am fascinated to see how you translate this particular brand of bizarre into a more contemporary context. Extreme bonus points for keeping them Dutch.
