Song Flash Exchange

Last call on the survey!

https://forms.gle/KVBnL5wMFLVXdey27

Current model:

300 words minimum, fandom, OR match on pairing/ character group, only prompt is a song in the URL with song info in the title, permitted three (3) DNW in optional details, nominations and signups happen simultaneously, 3 day writing period. 3 fandom minimum request, 4 fandom minimum offer.

timeline: signup Aug-7 to Aug-8. Writing Aug 9-Aug 11; reveal Aug 11. unanon Aug 13.

Remaining problem: no cool name. Can't call it songfic, nobody wants actual songfic.

Possible ideas (none of which I love):

Many Silly Love Songs Flash Exchange
Our Songs Flash Exchange
300pbm Flash Exchange
Don't Stop Me Now Flash Exchange
Flashdance Song Exchange
Fic in the Fast Lane Flash Exchange
Born to Fic Flash Exchange

Thoughts?

name could steal a line from any of a number of songs about singing: the one that's earworming me right now is by Alabama, "Jukebox In My Mind", which will segue to Joan Jett's "I Love Rock N' Roll" if given half a chance. neither of these is a good choice because [community profile] jukebox_fest already exists, but you get the idea?

can just call it "songflash" (as we discussed in discord already some)

another suggestion, since it's actually youtube links so it's not just songs, it's music videos: "mtv" something. Like "MTVflash" or "mtv-exchange"

Because I'm old and remember MTV when it pioneered music videos.

as for nominating, I think it'll be fine. You could open the tag set a day early to give yourself a chance to get some of the tag wrangling done, or you could just *let the groups migrate* - for a flash exchange, who cares? :D
