Ahh, I'm so sorry! I thought I had posted this days ago. But anyway here it is. Anything you do would be delightful. I'm genuinely really easy and the most important thing to me is that you write something you enjoy writing. I apologize again for being a flake.

- the phrase "big black cock" and pornified race-play
- first-person POV, unless in epistolary, journals, or other written document.
- asexual characters in relationships with sexual characters, past or present or even mentioned.
- setting-change AUs, unless otherwise specified. I’ll talk about what I think of as a "setting change AU" for each of my requested fandoms.
Opt-Ins
Basically anything that is not a DNW I am willing and happy to read, but I wanted to make a specific point to opt-in to the following things. This list should not, in any way, be taken as a "please write me this" list, but if you find yourself writing a fic that includes elements of any of the following, you can soothe your mind with this. The only thing I ask is that you warn/tag liberally.
- In-narrative racism/homophobia/sexism/biphobia/classism/ableism etc. You shouldn't feel the need to go out of your way to put it in, but if it makes sense for the story or the character, feel free to include it. That includes slurs, upsetting imagery, and anything of that nature.
- Gore, non-con, generally upsetting things about consent and agency, and torture.
- Incest and underage, as appropriate for the request
- Cannibalism, necrophilia, bestiality as appropriate for the fic, character, and request
- Character death, physical and mental illnesses, and permanent disability.
- Any and all "magical realism" tropes, whether or not they fit the canon: time travel, soul bonds, soul mates.
- Past relationships and unrequested canon and non-canon ships.
- Infidelity, breakup fic, poly among requested characters (unless otherwise specified.
The Folly of the World - Jesse Bullington
Ships:Sander Himbrecht/Jan Tieselen/Jolanda, Sander Himbrecht/Jan Tieselen
AU DNW Clarification: I would like the setting to remain the same. 1400s Holland, with weird magic shit happening in the background. I don't count things like A/B/O etc as setting changes, if you want to add that to the weird magic shit.
The thing I love about this fandom is how fucking weird an twisted it is. The setting is just phenomenal, with the most glorious creepy set-piece of the aftermath of a flood which is said to have killed 10,000 people. The characters are compelling, deeply fucked up, and with totally dysfunctional relationships. There’s reasons to find each of them completely fascinating for me. Sander has a canonical breathplay kink and we meet him as he is about to be executed, but he’s getting off on the idea of being hanged from the neck. His canonical lover, Jan, always thinks he knows exactly what he’s doing and that he is in control of everything around him. Jolanda grows enormously over the course of the book and really ends up a super compelling character by the end of it. I’m being a little vague here, because I don’t want to spoil it, but my prompts will definitely be spoilery.
In terms of tone for fic that I want in this fandom, I’m really open to anything. Do you want to write me some torture porn? I’m there. Someone getting fucked by eels? Yes please. Twisted non-to-dub-con dynamics? With bells on, thanks. But I’d also be happy with fix-it fic, of various sorts. Jan and Sander don’t necessarily have to end up in a happy place, but I would love for Sander to get some of his own back at the end, figure out a little bit of the mystery, and carve out a new life for him and Jolanda.
Prompts
- What if Jan makes Sander fuck Jolanda? Sander is portrayed in the novel as entirely gay, so this would be a really brutal way for Jan to demonstrate his power over Sander. This could happen before Jan’s death, when Sander and Jolanda don’t have a good a good relationship, but it would also be delicious if it happened post-canon. Maybe Jan ends up tracking Sander down and corrupting him more fully to the side of the Belgians/whatever metaphysical power that is rolling Dordrecht. Maybe part of the way he shows that is for Sander to betray Jo. I bet that is something that would hit Sander really hard, considering how close they are at the end of the novel.
- How did Jan and Sander meet and hook up? Sander, especially on first impression, seems like someone Jan would chew up and spit out, but the very strong impression I got from the first part of the novel is that Jan sincerely (in his fucked up way) cares about Sander. Jan thinks of him as a partner. How did they get to that point and how did it develop?
- The first Jan/Sander/Jolanda prompt had Sander actually fucking Jolanda, but what if the poly relationship was more of a V. Is there a way for that to be something that’s not totally destructive for all of them post-canon? I’d be interested to see how that played out, on any point in the fucked-up scale. Maybe Jan fully recruits Sander and Jo to the side of the metaphysical darkness
- In general, I’d really love to know more about the evil that’s haunting the edges of the novel. What is this power that is controlling Dordrecht? What does it mean? As I was daydreaming about it, I was having all sorts of crazy ideas about how maybe it is the beginnings of modern capitalism/climate changes, but idk, maybe it is just an Elder God. Anything that fleshes out the mythos would be welcome.
When Washington Was In Vogue - Edward Christopher Williams
Ships: Bob Fletcher/Davy Carr, Caroline Rhodes/Tommie Dawson, Bob Fletcher/Caroline Rhodes/Davy Carr/Tommie Dawson
AU DNW Clarification: I would like the setting to remain 1920s Black Washington DC. If you would like to do weird things with what that means (magic! flapper-steam-punk! whatever!), I am fine with that. But please keep it recognizably 1920s Black Washington DC in the same way that something like Fallen London is bizarre and fantastical, but recognizable Victorian London. Please do not create an alternate universe where anti-Blackness does not exist. It doesn't have to be a focus of the fic--it isn't in canon--but I would prefer not to have a no-anti-Blackness-AU in the way you sometimes get no-homophobia-regency-AUs. For that matter, please no AUs without sexism or homophobia either. It absolutely doesn't have to be the focus of the fic, but I'd like it within a stone's throw of historical accuracy.
The thing I love about this novel is how fizzy and fun it is. It’s just the sweetest, most lovely romance novel and it takes place in a really fascinating setting. I have a lot more details about why I love it (as well as where to find a digital copy I made myself) in my Yuletide Letter here.
Prompts
- Foursome getting together!! The book ends with Caroline/Davy and Tommie/Bob paired up, but they love each other so much. What if they end up together, as a happy foursome, with all angles of the square in love with each other.
- Pre-canon Bob/Davy. They were war buddies…maybe they found comfort in each other on the battlefield. Or maybe in Harlem, where at least Bob lives and Davy possibly lived before moving to Washington.
- Tommie/Caroline, all the classic sexuality discovering tropes. Caroline teaching Tommie how to dance/kiss! Tommie and Caroline getting dressed and touching each other, enjoying each other’s beauty in a physical way, instead of just verbally like canon.
- Canon-divergence AU where Bob/Davy and Tommie/Caroline are the real couples, but they use each other as beards to continue to live respectably in society.
- Babies??? That’s not really a prompt, but it is a fact that I love baby stories and these couples would be excellent to follow in the pregnancy/baby process.
- Stuff about the political context of the period is also welcome, even though I’ve mostly talked about the romance tropes.
- Bring me the fandom magical realism tropes. Soul-bonds! Soulmate marks! A/B/O! How does canon change when you add these things to the mix?
- What about magic? Can you add magic to the mix? What if Davy is doing research on wizards in the African slave-trade instead of what he was doing research on in canon
Crossover Fandom
Ships:James "Bucky" Barnes (MCU)/The Mandalorian (The Mandalorian TV), James "Bucky" Barnes (MCU)/John Wick (John Wick), James "Bucky" Barnes (MCU)/Ransom Drysdale (Knives Out), James "Bucky" Barnes (MCU)/Wade Wilson (Deadpool Movies)
Specific DNWs/Setting Change DNW Clarification: I don't count things like A/B/O etc as setting changes.
Bucky backstory without some analogy to the torture, brainwashing, and memory loss in canon. For the /John Wick, /Ransom Drysdale, and /Wade Wilson ships, I'd DNW canon divergance about Bucky's backstory up to the beginning of The Winter Soldier. That is, I'd like his backstory to be the same as it is in his canon. (Things that could exist along his backstory and just have been off screen--like past Steve/Bucky, details of his time with HYDRA etc, all that's fine. Basically, I want to make sure there is torture, amnesia, brainwashing, and cryo chambers.) If you want, the characters could end up with Bucky-as-the-Winter Soldier on their lap before the events of TWS movie or whenever makes sense. Just keep some amount of sad HYDRA backstory ;)
The Mandolorian going to the MCU universe--that is, I want Bucky in the galaxy far far away. It can either be a fusion or a portal fantasy, that’s fine.
Bucky/Mando
The thing I love about this ship is how both of them are big, strong, tough looking dudes… who have hearts of gold and a deep well of tenderness. Mando (yes, I know he has a name now, but I’m going to stick with what was nominated) really cares about his social connections, in his way, and he’s deeply intertwined in his community. I love that. I’d love that especially if he was introducing Bucky into it. Is it possible for an adult to be inducted into the Mandolorians? Maybe that would be something that would appeal to Bucky.
Also, I would be really happy with stuff that had them traveling the galaxy together. Maybe Mando discovers a Bucky who is deep on the edges of space, being a hermit and raising goats, and he ends up hiring Bucky to help him take care of the Child. On the other hand, maybe Bucky becomes someone that the Mando goes to retreat from his busy bounty-hunter lifestyle, in the more sedate lifestyle of raising space goats. Mando does not strike me as good with animals—I bet there will be some funny shenanigans with space goats.
Maybe Bucky used to be some sort of Super Stormtrooper during the Empire and Mando comes across him in the early stages of his recover and helps him put himself together. I bet Mando would be sympathetic to a guy trying really hard to be good, but without many of the skills that would allow him to easily do that.
Bucky/John Wick
I really love this ship idea, and not just because I’m easy for the idea of Bucky boning amazing assassins. I’d love anything here. Maybe pre-(John Wick)canon, John and the Winter Soldier went toe-to-toe and John had to deal with the unnerving reality of a guy that was good as him, but who had sad eyes and the total lack of affect of someone who wasn’t allowed to be a person. Maybe John even rescued him from HYDRA, essentially thinking that someone that good shouldn’t be treated like a dog. (Maybe he likes treating Bucky like a dog, but in a loving way…………)
If you want to set it after the third movie, I think there is a ton of potential there. By the end of the third movie, John is about to rise up against the High Table. I bet Bucky also isn’t a huge fan of them, given how uneasy he is about this history of violence. Maybe John works really hard to recruit Bucky as an ally.
Or maybe Bucky has an obscure goat farm (sorry, I really like the idea of Bucky with goats) that operates as an independent version of the Continental, where there isn’t some grand order keeping peace on his dude ranch, it’s just him being the scariest motherfucker around. It’s like the country-western Continental.
Or maybe Bucky mostly doesn’t let working assassins go there, but instead, keeps it as a sort rehab for assassins on their way out of the business. Maybe John goes there when he wants out and him and Bucky fall in love. You can deal with John’s wife however you want, in any of these scenarios. Maybe at first Bucky and John are just quietly flirty, when his wife is still in the picture, but after she dies John goes back to Bucky and there’s as low burn establishment of romance.
Bucky/Ransom
Mmm, fucked up bad idea sex. I love the idea of Bucky being drawn to Ransom, because he looks like Steve. Either because Steve was his ex and it ended badly (see: Endgame) or because Steve is tragically straight and Bucky’s pining was never reciprocated. I love the idea of Bucky being horrified with himself but repeatedly falling on Ransom’s dick anyway, because Ransom is hot and looks so familiar. Juicy, fucked-up bad decisions would be amazing.
Another great prompt would be if Ransom and Bucky met each other in prison. Why would they keep the Winter Soldier in gen pop? IDK! But I bet Bucky is very well-behaved and has earned the "privilege" so to speak. I really like prison fics and this is a great premise for one.
Last idea is that Bucky guides Ransom to being less of a terrible person with sex and sympathy. I find it hard to imagine that Bucky really thinks Ransom could be a good guy, with everything about his background, but maybe his physical similarity to Steve gives Bucky enough oomph to try and before he knows it, he’s all in and wants to help him be a better person.
Bucky/Wade
Okay, so this started off as a crackship for me but it ended up so much more. I think Bucky would really benefit from a partner like Wade? Especially in a lot of fic, Bucky seems inclined to angst, broody, and self-hatred. Wade wouldn't have any of that. I love the idea of Wade fanboying over Bucky and making clear that he thinks that the Winter Soldier thing is actually really badass backstory. I love the idea of Bucky growing toward equanimity toward his past because of how enthusiastic Wade is about it. I love the idea that Bucky has some fucked up kinks because of his backstory--murder, cannibalism, etc--and Wade takes it entirely in stride.
I've also, in general, started to develop a weird thing about Bucky and Wade and exploring kinks in general, even if they aren't specifically focused on Wade's ability to regenerate his body. Maybe they explore Daddy kink and Wade's gusto and highly developed sense of the ridiculous keeps them moving merrily forward, even though Bucky has some moments of awkwardness about it.
Maybe Bucky-as-the-Winter-Soldier runs into Wade and the Winter Soldier's humorlessness runs smack dab into Wade's everything. I bet that would be amazing to watch. I've requested this a bunch in various Writing Rainbows, though mostly with kink tags, so if you want some specific sex prompts, feel free to check those out. Here is one of them.
Marvel Cinematic Universe
Ships:James "Bucky" Barnes/T'Challa (MCU), James "Bucky" Barnes/Tony Stark (MCU), James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers (MCU), James "Bucky" Barnes/Erik Killmonger (MCU), Erik Killmonger/T'Challa (MCU)
Setting Change AU Clarification: I don't count things like A/B/O etc as setting changes. Basically, I want something equivalent to the super serum to exist, something equivalent to the Heart Shaped Herb to exist for Black Panther related things, and in general, the characters to be superheroes. I want them to be Super, even if the world has different rules because of weird fandom magical realism.
Also, I DNW canon divergance about Bucky's backstory up to the beginning of The Winter Soldier. That is, I'd like his backstory to be the same as it is in his canon. (Things that could exist along his backstory and just have been off screen--like past Steve/Bucky, details of his time with HYDRA etc, all that's fine. Basically, I want to make sure there is torture, amnesia, brainwashing, and cryo chambers.) I have some specific requests where Steve joins him as a Winter Soldier--that's fine. I also am fine with Erik or Tony running into him before Steve does. I basically just want the torture to still happen.
For Erik, I DNW him being raised in Wakanda. That is, I want Erik to have the same backstory as in canon, with the anger, betrayal, and desire for revolution. One big exception: Erik can rescue Bucky at some point before canon and things can diverge. There can also be pre-canon Erik/T'Challa, as long as the basic backstory of his being raised in Oakland remains the same.
James "Bucky" Barnes/T'Challa (MCU)
I’m fascinated by T'Challa. He is a good, generous man who is fundamentally sheltered about what it means to be Black in the rest of the world. Nonetheless, he makes hard choices and wants to help. Perhaps the decision in canon I understand least and want to hear more about is his one to ally himself with Bucky prior to Erik. It is a really interesting, cool basis for a ship for me. T’Challa realizes fairly quickly that Bucky is not personally to blame for the things that he was forced to do. He’s so immediately open and generous with Bucky. I imagine that’s pretty hard for Bucky to take, early on, when he’s still feeling fucked up and guilty about things.
I’m really interested on any take on them falling in love. It could happen anywhere in the timeline—immediately post-Civil War, or maybe even after Endgame, when Steve is gone and Bucky is torn about what to do next. I love the idea of Bucky feeling guilty about not Fighting Crime when the world just lost one of their WW2 super soldiers, but not really wanting to. I bet his relationship with T’Challa can be a way where he finds other means to do good.
James "Bucky" Barnes/Tony Stark (MCU)
I really like this ship because of all their loaded history and terrible backstory. I don’t really see it as a fluffy ship, but that’s what I like about it. I get the sense that especially during Civil War, Tony uses Bucky as a way to focus all his more generalized rage and anger about the death of his parents. He’s also really loaded because he’s a source of pain about how quickly Steve turned on him and prioritized Bucky. That has got to really sting. And from Bucky’s perspective, he must feel enormous guilt about Tony—but at the same time, be kinda pissed off at him. I think it would be justifiable and even healthy for Bucky to get to a point where while he understands why Tony might hate him, he resents being fully blamed for something that he had undergone through torture.
I’m interested in fic anywhere on the timeline for them. One specific prompt that comes to mind is maybe during the time period between Civil War and Infinity War, Bucky goes to Tony to turn himself in/offer himself up. That sort of annoying self-sacrifice would probably drive Tony crazy. I bet that could go any number of ways—maybe Bucky gets locked up and Tony goes to visit him to make sure everything is alright, especially since Steve is about to kill him for locking up his bestie. Maybe Tony doesn’t lock him up officially, but keeps him in the tower and starts to see how he’s changed.
Maybe Bucky ends up needing Tony's help with some sort of HYDRA aftermath that Shuri is unwilling/unable to deal with (bite my tongue, I know, but the lies we float for shipping purposes.) This could go any level of dark you want. Honestly one of my favorite tropes is someone unnecessarily trading their body for safety or favors. I have a lot of nasty consent issues prompts along those lines for these two that you can find here.
If you want to write something less horribly dark, I love the classic fic trope of them being thrown into a situation where they’re forced to work together (or maybe even forced to fuck) and a grudging respect building. This could happen in a post-EG AU where Tony lives but Steve is gone, or it could even happen in something canon divergent post-Civil War. Basically I’m interested in anything for this ship, as long as it is a little darker and treats the ship quite unfluffily.
James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers (MCU)
What is there to say about this ship? I love them. I love all aspects of their relationship. They have it all for me—I love the pre-war falling in love and dating on the DL, I love the angst of all the years of separation, I love the explosion of recovery fic and finding Bucky fic that came out after TWS. I’m really interested in a lot of things here and a lot of different takes on the ship, so I’m just going to throw a couple of specific prompts at you if you want them. It’s such a big fandom and I really like it all.
- I love the idea of Steve and/or Bucky kinking hard on the idea of Bucky as the Winter Soldier, post-recovery. This could go a number of different directions. Maybe Steve kinks on Bucky’s obedience or maybe he kinks on his aggressiveness and knives. Maybe Bucky kinks on the freedom there was in only following orders or maybe following his darkest impulses. In general, I like the idea that there’s a sort of residue in Bucky’s psyche of all those years of violence and I’d love to see the way it plays out sexually.
- I’d love some fic set in the 2012 timeline where that Steve goes looking for Bucky. How does it play out differently, so many years before? Is there a big change in a world where Steve finds Bucky not all that long after coming out of the ice himself?
- What if Bucky went into HYDRA as an alpha, like Steve, and came out of it an omega? I love the trope of "omegification" or whatever we are calling it, where an alpha gets turned into an omega by being raped a lot. I think that would be great and angsty, if they had to rethink their relationship with this radically new thing in the middle of it.
- What if Steve turned into a werewolf and got Bucky pregnant with werewolf babies? I’m a simple creature. In general, any mpreg is a+ for me, I really adore it.
- What about something post-EG, in an AU where Steve doesn’t go back in time? What if his "dance" is finally telling Bucky how he feels about him and trying to make their relationship go to the next level?
- If you are interested in dark dub-con/non-cony prompts for them, I have a lot of them in my consent issues letter here.
James "Bucky" Barnes/Erik Killmonger (MCU)
Erik is one of my favorite characters in the MCU. I am fascinated by all parts of his life story. What was his time at MIT and Annapolis like? How the fuck did an orphaned kid from Oakland end up graduating from MIT at age 19? What was his time in the military like? Tell me about his assassination adventures and the fucked up shit he did for the US government. It would particularly cool to put him in a ghost story of some type—I think his POV would be a great one when paired with the supernatural. I’m fascinated by the intersection of his rage and the love he has for Black people, his father, and himself. I’m interested in the question of his many names and what they mean to him, how he code-switches and what that looks like. Feel free to lean into the political themes of his story.
I have approximately one million thoughts on these two. I love the idea of them as a ship. I love their parallels—shared history of dehumanization, assassin background—and I love the very strong divergences, in that there’s a really important difference between being dehumanized by 400 years of Western civilization and being dehumanized by a magic chair. The only person Erik ever was is this, rage and humor grown up together like intertwined vines. I love that difference between the two of them, what it means for recovery—what does recovery even look like, if you’re Erik? What does it mean to heal trauma, when the trauma is (in part) the last 400 years of civilization?
I love how they’d inevitably butt heads. Bucky, as we see him in Wakanda, has worked really hard to find peace for himself and in his own life. He knows there’ll be a fight, but he seems to be looking for a way to avoid fights, generally. That’s very different than Erik and it is not something that Erik would easily understand. The thing I love about it is that Bucky and Erik can help each other see something true on the other’s experiences and help each other move to a place where they can see past their trauma to a future.
Specific prompts include:
- Recovering together in Wakanda, and all the frictions that would entail.
- Interactions between the Winter Soldier and Killmonger, while he was at the CIA. I bet Erik would be fascinated by this white guy who is treated so thoroughly as an object by his handlers. I bet it would be entirely and completely unsurprised that HYDRA is at the core of the US government.
- Erik activating Bucky during his coup of Wakanda and dealing the aftermath of that. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he figured out/knew the code words and when he found out there is a famous assassin chilling in Wakanda’s cryo tubes, I could see him taking advantage of that. And, of course, Bucky would be furious/shattered to his core.
Erik Killmonger/T'Challa
I love, love, love this ship, but I want it done in a kind of twisted way. I want them to have an unhealthy relationship where they at least start out not very good for each other. I am totally fine with a happy ending, where they end up having grown into a functional couple, but I’m fine with it not ending that way, too. I would like both of them to remain reasonably authentic to their canon selves. This means I do not want T’Challa to be a pure villain — I want him to have good intentions and to be trying hard, but unable to deal with the way Erik refuses his worldview and makes him feel. I want Erik to be bitter and angry and prone to lashing out. I want you to take his politics seriously. They can grow to have affection for each other, but it should be hard-won.
The basic prompt I would like is T’Challa saving Erik against his will and the outcomes of that. He could save him in a bunch of different ways — ignoring his wishes and rushing him to medical help, time travel, wish on the Tesseract, whatever. Erik could come back normal or Come Back Wrong. There could be time loops where T’Challa tries a million different ways to avert Erik’s death and none of them work.
And, then when Erik survives, they could end up fucking from some sort of magical realism device like sex pollen or just as an unhealthy, angry coping mechanism. I just want to explore the fucked-up dynamic here.
Knives Out
Ship: Marta Cabrera/Ransom Drysdale
Setting-Change AU DNW Clarification: I don't count things like A/B/O etc as setting changes. I'm fine with you adding any and all magical realism tropes. I'd generally prefer the basic structure of the universe remain the same, with the Thrombay's wealth and Marta's poverty.
I absolutely love this movie. Ransom was deliciously evil and Marta was so amazingly upright. I’m really into whatever take you have on it. A couple prompt ideas, though!
- What if Ransom wasn't full of shit and he was sincere in his desire to fuck over the rest of the family and split the money with Marta? Maybe he did the switcharoo with Harlan’s meds and then decided to go back on it once he got to know Marta a little better. I’m a simple creature and I wouldn’t mind as hip where it is less dark.
- What if Ransom is an omega and marta is an Alpha and he goes into a really inconveniently timed heat in the middle of the movie?
- I bet Harlan wanted to get Marta and Ransom to like each other, since he had such a good relationship with both of them. I also bet he’s the type to have a weird scavenger hunt with a dead-man’s drop after his death. Maybe Marta has to go to Ransom in prison to get his help.
- I also love the idea of iddy femdom stuff here. I have an extended idea, which I’m about to say, but any small version of it would also be really welcomed. I just love the general dynamic. What if Ransom seduced Marta to gain her trust and fucked her brains out, really dominating (and maybe she was a virgin?) and deploying his asshole confidence to the fullest. But then, after he gets out of jail in a bunch of years—probably fewer than he deserves—she reaches out to him to heal him readjust to society and sweetly, kindly puts him in his place, not letting him get away with any bullshit but encouraging him to do good and be good. And it ends up with her femdoming him for justice.
