Hello, creator! You may notice a theme to this signup--specifically, Bucky is involved in all of them. Bucky is one of my favorite characters to explore in a darkfic context, both because of his history of trauma and his continual ability to overcome, move on, and get better. I like many different takes on how the Winter Soldier affected him and many different takes on his recovery. I have a lot of different ideas here and a lot of words, but I'm actually really easy to please.

The first section of the letter is just things I generally like in fic and then I talk about the prompts one by one.

General Likes: I like characters who are in over their heads and struggling to get their shit done. I like action, angst, and high drama. It is almost impossible to be too melodramatic or intense for me. Some of my favorite stories are those that give badasses time and space to be badasses--complete with loving descriptions of weaponry and cunning plans. I like whump and h/c, I love when my faves get tortured and broken down. I like for those faves to respond with a combination of roaring rampages of revenge and cuddles by those they love. I like when my fave wears black leather and smoke cigarettes and drinks whiskey while contemplating their mortality.

At the same time, I also like stories that are soft and slow and contemplative. I like curling up in a slice of existence and getting to know all the details of daily life. I like fluff, mpreg, soul bonds, found family, and finding spaces for comfort within difficulty. (I also like angsty versions of things like mpreg and soul bonds!). For me, with most of my canons, what I like is the contrast between the drama and the ways they can find small spaces of comfort.

I like characters finding themselves and making choices about what type of person they want to be. I like embracing authentic living and overcoming struggles. I love stories about trauma recovery and the revelation of deep dark secrets. I like struggling against the world that is against you.

I like formal experiments and unusual formats--different tenses, documentation styles, nonlinear storytelling, drabble series. Feel free to go super high concept and to bring in Big Ideas. I like ambition. In general, I want you to tell the story you want to tell and make the choices you need to make in that context.

Weird specific thing I like: male omega parents being referred to as mothers and female alpha parents referred to as fathers.

Shippy Likes: I like friends-to-lovers and even when the ship is enemies-to-lovers, I like for there to be a sense of intimacy. I love when the characters are the most important people in the world to each other. I love when there’s a sense of “us against the world,” where they have to put each other first. I love one character going crazy-eyed and deciding to tear down the world for the other one. I like secrets and in-jokes. I have a passionate love of the “coming out” scene, where the world or just their friends realizes a relationship is romantic. In more complicated relationships, I like when the people are the most important person in each other's emotional life, even if they don't really like each other. Think obsessive hatred or obsessive interest. I like fucked up, dub-cony relationships too--I like when sex doesn't solve problems, it just makes them more fraught. I like hatesex and "you drive me nuts" sex. I love hurt/comfort and rescuing each other. One of my favorite tropes is someone getting kidnapped and the other one busting in and killing a bunch of people to get them safe.

Porn Likes: I love porn with feelings, kink, rough sex, D/s, dirty talk, bondage, kink discovery, breeding kink, feminization, objectification, mpreg, praise kink, xeno/non-human sex, tentacles, humiliation, hair pulling, comeplay, inflation, marathon sex until it hurts, public sex, gangbangs, unrealistically high sex drives, and more. I’m pretty kinky and into most types of kink fic. For an established ship, I’d like for the kink to grow out of love, though I don’t need complicated negotiations of the scene happening actually in the fic. I love stories where someone who mostly thinks of themselves as a good person takes advantage of a situation they didn't create in a way that reveals that they're not as good as they thought they were. I love stories that lean on the past of Bucky's conditioning and imagine him in a future where he's functional and more or less happy, but has a twisted inability to really understand consent as something meaningful for himself. I also love stories where Steve (and/or Bucky) has an unrequited crush on the other one--and that meshes really well with the rest of it, because in this case Steve can get what he's always wanted.

In general, I'm looking for manipulative dubcon and taking advantage of past conditioning more than Steve actively going out of his way to create the conditioning that leads to Bucky's inability to say no. You can use any combination of these free-forms, feel free to pick and choose them as prompts and feel no obligation to use all of them. Bucky can be a variety of levels of distressed about this, but one of the thing that makes it appealing for me is the idea that he's normalized it to himself and Steve is the one that realizes he's behaving horrifically.

I would like Steve to be recognizably a version of himself, not an over the top dark villain (... that prompt is later.) One of the ways I'm thinking about this is that he's good at going for what he wants/thinks is right without much self-analysis and his attachment to the people he loves can sometimes override their own wishes. I don't have strong feelings how you spin it, but some complexity in his characterization is desirable.

Some additional prompts:

Bucky was 100% straight pre-Winter Soldier and while he was aware of Steve's crush, was always gentle about not being interested. After Winter Soldier, they fall into bed together and it takes Steve awhile to realize that Bucky is reenacting his abuse/what he thinks is expected of him. Alternately: Bucky is addicted to sex and eager for any form of human contact/affirmation, even if in some ways he doesn't have healthy or normative desire. Alternately: it never occurs to him to say no to this sort of thing.

If the sexuality angle doesn't work for you, maybe Steve has a particularly intense kink that Bucky didn't like before--could be something like anal/oral sex or something like sadism--but now Bucky allows it.

From the outside, the relationship between Steve and Bucky seems cute and sweet--people are glad for both of them that they are making human connection. Bucky knows in his gut that something is going wrong, but Steve essentially gaslights him that this is all out of love. Maybe it gets to the point of people bringing Bucky back to Steve if he tires to runaway.

Maybe the fic is set really, really early in Bucky's recovery--the story going AU so Steve finds him well before he does in the events of Civil War--and he's so thoughtlessly obedient and Steve missed him so much...

Maybe Bucky is exploring sexual freedom and having a lot of ill-advised sex and Steve more or less coerces him into just having it with him, For His Own Good.

If you go with the "doesn't know what sex is," that is naturally going to involve some infantilization--note that my DNW is specific to "formalizing it" with things like Littles. I'm fine with the term Daddy and such, if it comes up. It's not my kink--I prefer the naif without the implication that the character is very young--but I've enjoyed it in the past and I understand that it might feel hard to avoid.

With this request, I imagining a post-WS Bucky or WS-era Bucky that has trouble controlling his aggression and impulse control. With this, I'm really interested in the feral, dangerous side of Bucky--the side that had him attacking technicians and lashing out even more violently against Steve when he was trying to bring him back from himself. I'm interested in a Winter Soldier that is scary and terrifying, even if possibly in a robotic way that does not fully understand human relationships.

For Steve, what appeals to me here is him lying to himself and deluding himself that this is what he wants and he is grateful that Bucky is back, while accepting the violence/rape as part of the bargain. Maybe he even tells himself he deserves it for not being able to save Bucky. For the prompts that talk about somewhat isolated incidents, I'm also really interested in the aftermath.

Some prompts:

Bucky is still full-on Winter Soldier and his memories of consensual sex pre-TFA mesh poorly with his memories of rape while in HYDRA's hands.

Bucky is triggered by a previously unknown trigger phrase into sexual aggression, takes it out on Steve.

Bucky goes into rut and responds with intense aggression, either while still full Winter Soldier or in recovery.

Bucky, even though he is overtly recovered, mostly understands sex as something traumatic and painful. It is too much for him to be the receptive party, but he gets off on being the one doing the harming. He may or may not realize that Steve is not finding it sexually satisfying.

Maybe Bucky never fully returns to himself and stays aggressive and strange well after he is free of the formalized trigger words. Steve's friends do not approve of the domineering way that he treats Steve and Steve angrily defends him, even though he's not sure himself it is something he wants.

With this one, I'm looking for fucked up porn more than anything else. I love the dynamic of an authority figure presenting themself as reasonable and like they are trying to be helpful, while doing increasingly fucked up things and escalating the depravity. I am fine with either a male or female therapist, but penetration is one of the things I kink on in this context, so ideally Bucky will get things stuck up in him.

Bucky could be coming to the therapist with problems related to sex: maybe he wants too much of it, maybe he wants things that he worries are abnormal or unhealthy for him, maybe he doesn't want it at all. Or he could be coming to the therapist with other symptoms of PTSD/depression/anxiety. Either way, the therapist takes advantage of Bucky's shame and self-hatred to get him to do things.

Bucky could be in a relationship with someone else (Steve or Sam only please), he could be pining for one of them, or he could be single. Regardless, a thing I really like about this is him furtively trying to hide what is happening from his loved ones and those that care about him. If you set it in a time period where he doesn't have as much of a support structure, like Budapest, then it would be amazing to lean on his sense of isolation and feeling like he would have nowhere to go/no one would care.

I really love scenes of this sort of thing being "discovered" and people reacting with horror, which just makes the victim feel even lower and more dirty. For increased humiliation, maybe they're even discovered in a particularly egregious position--getting fucked by a dog or in lingerie. Maybe at first Bucky spins it like it is all his own fault and actually manages to persuade some folks of that.

Also: what if Bucky got pregnant? And was degraded about that, but maybe it ~gives him the strength to try and tell someone.

With regard to the DNW of the therapist being Wakandan, you can tweak post-CW canon to whatever extent you would like. I'm fine with it never happening and going AU earlier, such that Bucky is getting therapy in NY/the USA. I'm fine with this incident with the therapist happening post-Wakanda and healthy therapy Bucky has had in Wakanda--there's something especially delicious about that, even, that he knows it can be helpful to him and he's waiting for this new person to prove themselves. Just please, no Black therapist.

I love the idea of fucked up Tony/Bucky, where Tony lets his rage and sense of being wronged by Bucky lead him into doing horrible things. I don't want an unrecognizable evil Tony, but I am interested in fic exploring his darker side--his selfishness, his overwhelming hurt, his tendency to make people aware of how he's helping them paired with his thoughtless, shocking generosity. I am interested in a range of levels of self-awareness from him. On the one hand, maybe he thinks that Bucky is into it--maybe Bucky even actively orchestrates the sexual favors, under the idea that this is how he's going to earn safety, protection, and forgiveness. Maybe Bucky offers it to Tony as an exchange and then finds himself unable to back out of the deal when it goes bad.

On the other end of the spectrum, maybe Tony finds a trigger accidentally and all of a sudden Bucky is sucking his cock. And that's one thing, but the real crossing the rubicon moment is when he's drunk, lonely, and says it again. Maybe even Bucky doesn't remember what happens, once that trigger is said.

For Bucky, I imagine him feeling guilty and uncertain of this whole thing--he feels strongly like he owes Tony something and maybe that's his body.

If you want to bring complicated Steve feelings into it, maybe they're both pining for him. Maybe Tony is pining for Steve, but Bucky is not. Maybe Bucky and Steve are together and Tony is jealous of Steve, so when he gets this hint of a way to involve himself, he takes it. Maybe he takes advantage of Bucky to punish Steve. Maybe Steve even left Tony for Bucky, making all the Civil War stuff even more emotionally terrible for him.

Like I mentioned in other prompts, I love the moment in stories when outsiders find out what's happening and react in horror. In this case, I bet Steve would be great. As much as possible, though, I'm not really interested in OTT Tony bashing--I find it much more interesting when he's psychologically rich and compelling.

I think there are a huge juicy variety of ways to make this fucked up and I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Also: what if Bucky got pregnant with Tony’s baby because of all this and had to explain it to people?

I love Bucky/Loki and with this request, I'm looking for stuff that takes advantage of the fact that Bucky was canonically mindcontrolled for ages and Loki canonically has done a lot of mind-control. Much like my other requests, I'm not interested in a cacklingly evil Loki--more of what I imagine is a Loki who is too alien and powerful to fully understand Bucky as a human he should care about--like he might have treated Clint, say-- and at the same time, eager for the devotion and worship that he is capable of inspiring in Bucky.

I have two basic prompts -- though I'm eager and happy to see what you come up with if you think of anything else.

On the one hand, maybe Bucky and Loki are in a consensual relationship and Bucky has a mind-control kink that Loki ferrets out and pressures him into leaning into. Maybe the mind-control starts out as consensual--something that lets Bucky let go and reinterpret his past trauma, with loving aftercare, but goes bad as Loki pushes, and pushes. Maybe one day they're having a normal couples fight and instead of resolving it, Loki mindcontrols the problem away and he realizes the extent of the power that he has.

On the other hand, maybe Loki--who seems to have a canonical thing for Steve--makes himself look like Steve and takes advantage of Bucky's misidentification. This could happen for plot related reasons or just because Loki wants to--either way, I'm definitely into it.

Here is the request where I want Dark Steve. I've read a lot of this run, but not all of it--I don't care about spoilers. One important note is that HYDRA!Steve from the universe I'm requesting didn't grow up with Bucky--so I'm not interested in a world where MCU Steve is actually in HYDRA, I want this comics Steve somehow connecting with our MCU Bucky, who has his own Steve that he remembers and loves. I'm fine with any plot reason for this, including stuff playing with Endgame. Maybe HYDRA!Steve shows up after Steve returns to the fifties in Endgame like, gee I think this universe needs a Captain America and ends up doing horrible things to Bucky before people notice that he's actually HYDRA.

Maybe there are some multiverse shenanigans and while Bucky is the Winter Soldier, he's transferred into the control of HYDRA!Steve, who has no idea who he is but learns quick to take advantage of Bucky's attachment. Maybe Bucky gets captured by HYDRA!Steve while he's recovered and in his full mind, but can't help but react to Steve like he's someone he knows and loves.

This can happen in the context of a romantic relationship between Bucky and MCU!Steve or not. Maybe Bucky always pined, but MCU!Steve was straight! Maybe the other way around--MCU!Steve had a crush and they both just didn't acknowledge it.

I'm a fan of a million different takes on the "hard-non-con" here, so to speak, with the twist of HYDRA!Steve having a beloved face. I'd be especially in to Bucky being chained up and raped in a dungeon. I love the idea of Bucky trying for defiance and nonchalance and not quite pulling it off. I love the idea of HYDRA!Steve using his cunning to try to figure out Bucky and MCU!Steve's backstory, which he didn't live and doesn't know.

Like I've said before, the moment of rescue or discovery is especially good for me--how does Steve feel when he finds out that his face and body has been raping Bucky for days? What is the aftermath like? Can Bucky recover his trust in Steve?
